Knowles London is seeking an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to strengthen its commercial team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in day to day commercial management working with the support and mentorship of a Senior Quantity Surveyor. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience on super-prime residential projects for an established main contractor.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Commercial management of prime residential projects through to final account
• Proactive monitoring and management of Knowles’ integrated in-house delivery model to maximise efficiency, value, and profitability
• Identification, management, and mitigation of contractual and commercial risks and opportunities
• Procurement and commercial administration of subcontract packages whether applicable
• Preparation and management of valuations, variations, cost reports, and forecasts
• Close collaboration with the Project Manager and Site Manager to ensure the contract is administered correctly and all commercial responsibilities are met
• Supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyor with reporting, commercial strategy, and project controls

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• Experience working under JCT and/or Design & Build contracts
• Previous experience on prime residential projects
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Subcontract procurement and management experience (advantageous)
• Confident communicator, able to work closely with site and operational teams
