Project Announcement | Knowles Appointed on Phase 2, Continuing Works at Super Prime Residence in St John’s Wood

Following our successful delivery of Phase 1, Knowles is pleased to be continuing our involvement on this ambitious project in St John’s Wood for Phase 2.

Spearheading this project, alongside Project Manager Simon Killick, is Flo Medhurst, Site Manager who will be instrumental in the fit-out project delivery all the way through to the final turnkey.

For Phase 2, we will be working in close collaboration with Rose Uniacke to deliver exceptional interiors, breathing new life into a classic London townhouse while maintaining its architectural identity throughout including leisure and spa facilities, a glass extension, and landscaping.

We sat down with Flo, Knowles’ Site Manager to take a closer look at the project, what to expect in the coming months, and experience working in the super-prime residential industry.

What are the key milestones the team is working towards as we move toward completion next year?

Over the coming months the primary focus will be progressing the internal fit out and bringing together the key interior elements of the house to bring the drawing visions to life. Works will include the installation of bespoke joinery by bespoke joinery specialists, Edson and the completion of specialist finishes throughout.

What aspects of the interiors or finishes are you most looking forward to seeing come together?

We had a fantastic opportunity to visit Rose Uniacke’s showroom to understand the deep level of craftsmanship and atmosphere she is aiming to achieve throughout from the finishes and materials that elevate the space.

Can you describe the handover process from Phase 1 to you coming in as Phase 2 Fit Out Site Manager?

The first step was reviewing the works completed during Phase 1, including detailed inspections and coordination with the previous team. That helped establish the current condition of the building and allowed us to organise the programme for the fit-out stage so the next phase of works could progress efficiently.

Are there any standout features in this home, if so, what are they?

What really stands out is the level of detail throughout the interiors. From the architectural joinery to the finishes and materials, there is a strong emphasis on craftsmanship. It is the type of project where the quality of the detailing quietly elevates every space.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

For me, the most rewarding part of my job is seeing a project evolve. At the beginning you are focused on the structure and technical side, but as the finishes start going in the spaces begin to transform into a home. Seeing that transition is always very satisfying.

What is the most challenging part of your job?

One of the biggest challenges is coordinating a large number of specialist trades while maintaining both programme and quality. Super-prime residential projects involve lots of bespoke work and very detailed finishes, so expert planning and clear communication are essential to keep everything moving in the right direction.
