Knowles Strengthens Leadership Team with Key Board and Senior Management Appointments

Knowles has strengthened its leadership team through the appointment of Mark Hailey as Group Construction Director and Board Member, alongside the promotion of Shane Moore to Managing Surveyor and Megan Steele-Knowles to the newly created role of Group Operations Director.

These strategic appointments reflect the company’s ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional projects across London, the Home Counties and beyond.

Mark Hailey has been appointed Group Construction Director and joins the Knowles Board of Directors, alongside Robin Knowles, Pat Kilbane, Alan Nixon and Megan Steele-Knowles.

Having joined Knowles in 2024, Mark has spent the past two years leading the company’s London projects alongside a number of key country projects. In his newly created role, he will assume responsibility for all Knowles’ projects as well as the company’s Special Projects division.

Mark has played an instrumental role in strengthening the senior leadership team and will work closely with the Board, Robin Knowles and project teams to deliver exceptional projects ranging from complex structural works to super-prime fit-outs. His extensive experience and hands-on approach will bring valuable insight to both project delivery and the company’s wider growth strategy.

Shane Moore has been promoted to Managing Surveyor, where, in his new role, Shane will take an expanded position in the commercial oversight and delivery of projects, providing a vital link between the surveying and project delivery teams, working closely with Group Commercial Director, Pat Kilbane and Mark Hailey. His promotion reflects both his contribution to the business and the importance of integrated project and commercial management.

As part of the leadership evolution, Megan Steele-Knowles has transitioned into the newly created position of Group Operations Director. In this role, Megan will oversee all aspects of the company’s administrative operations, including brand and marketing, people and HR functions, digital systems implementation, company-wide operational processes and the end-to-end tender function.

The role has been established to enhance operational alignment across the business and ensure the infrastructure, systems and people strategies are in place to support future development.

These appointments represent the latest in a series of strategic internal promotions and leadership developments at Knowles, ensuring the business is well positioned to meet increasing demand while maintaining the high standards of quality, service and delivery that clients have come to expect.

By strengthening its leadership structure across construction, commercial and operational functions, Knowles continues to invest in its people, its capabilities and its long-term growth strategy.

“I’m proud to be stepping into this role at an important stage in Knowles’ development. I’m looking forward to working closely with the Board and our project teams to continue delivering technically challenging, high-quality projects while supporting the company’s long-term ambitions.”

Mark Hailey, Group Construction Director

“This promotion is a great opportunity to support the business at a broader level. I’m excited to strengthen collaboration between our commercial and project teams and help maintain the high standards of delivery our clients expect as the business continues to grow.”

Shane Moore, Managing Surveyor

“This newly created role gives us the opportunity to enhance and synergise how our company operations work together from end to end. My focus is on building the right foundations to support growth and deliver strong outcomes for both our teams and our clients.”
