Knowles London is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join the delivery team. The successful candidate will play a key role in day to day site management, ensuring works are delivered safely, to the highest standards, and in line with programme expectations. This role suits a Site Manager with strong refurbishment experience who is comfortable working in high spec and technically complex environments, supported by a Project Manager and wider commercial and technical teams.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Day to day management of site activities
- Management and coordination of direct labour, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ensure works are delivered safely, in full compliance with H&S legislation, company procedures, and site-specific RAMS
- Maintain high standards of quality control and workmanship aligned with client and design expectations
- Manage programme sequencing and short term look ahead planning to maintain progress
- Coordinate with the Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor and consultants to resolve technical and sequencing issues
- Ensure site records are maintained, including daily logs, inspections, permits, and progress reporting
- Manage logistics, access and neighbour considerations typical of prime residential refurbishments
- Lead by example on site, promoting a positive, professional, and organised working environment
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on prime residential refurbishments in London
- Strong knowledge of refurbishment works, including structural alterations, fit-out, and high-quality finishes
- SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS certification (essential)
- Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisation skills
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades in constrained environments
- Experience working under JCT contracts (desirable)
