Renovation, extension and environmental upgrade

The renovation and enlargement of a three-storey family house within the Holland Park Conservation Area, London.

A new basement was formed beneath the entire footprint of the existing property, along with a rear single-storey extension which complements the existing structure and allowed the house to be upgraded in accordance with the Eco Homes environmental requirements stipulated by the planning conditions.

Maximised natural light

The interiors maximised on the available natural light, celebrated by the use of full height glazing spanning the width of the rear extension forming a connection between the main living space and garden. Contemporary timber staircases connect the original and new part of the house. The upper floors have been reconfigured to suit the owners’ specific needs, with new bathrooms and bespoke fitted joinery.
