A Truly Unique Property
Located in the heart of the prestigious Cadogan Estate, work on this 5-storey private mews property included the full internal demolition of the mews properties to allow for a combination to create a beautiful modern home in the heart of Belgravia.
Knowles delivered the project from concept to completion, with the scope of works including the addition of a new double storey basement to a depth of 7.5 metres which featured a modern gym, family cinema room and an open plan kitchen, living room and dining area. Uniquely, the property also features a private ground level garage, a highly valuable addition to any central London home. A unique and highly engineered lift shaft was installed across all 5 floors, truly making this property unique.
To deliver the final finishes, a full refurbishment was required which included all floor, roof and external work including masonry to allow for the high-specification finishes to be installed. The property features traditional elements such as parquet flooring which runs throughout the property and architrave details, contrasted with selected modern touches including a mirrored feature wall in the dining area, a master bedrooms walk in wardrobe and wine display unit in the living room. Lighting was a key design feature in this property to ensure maximum exposure to natural light and intelligent decisions within the basement to ensure a bright, light and airy feel throughout.
