- Alterations and restoration to existing Grade II listed building, constructed 1855
- Build of a new 4-storey Shell & Core structure
- Addition of a 5,000 sq/ft basement – linked to the existing building
- Secant piled basement with raft foundation
- Perimeter RC liner walls and retaining walls
- Full basement cavity drainage waterproofing system
- Building envelope works including external cladding, windows, external doors
The heart of The Hurlingham Estate
Located in the heart of the Hurlingham Estate in Fulham, Knowles worked as the main contractor for the shell & core works on the historic Castle Club, working alongside Thackeray Estates and Darling Associates.
The prestigious project drew upon Knowles’ diverse in-house skills of demolition, piling, basement excavation, superstructure construction + building envelope works.
The initial scope of works consisted of the continuation of our site set up, including forming a welfare facility in the existing building, completion of protective hoarding, commencement of drainage installation and piling to the new building.
