A Modern Mews
Knowles had the pleasure of working with Greenway Architects on a contemporary re-modelling and complete refurbishment of an existing residence in the centre of Mayfair.
The property underwent extensive alterations to increase the property from an existing three storey to a five storey house with only the rear elevation retained as an existing element. The internal layout has been entirely reconfigured to suit the client’s requirements, including the addition of an 80 sq/m basement.
All five stories of the property were connected by an open helical staircase designed and executed in collaboration with Mizzi Design Studio.
High-specification Finish
With the finish designed by Greenways Architects and delivered by Knowles, Woods Mews was finished to an incredibly high-specification finish. All five stories of the property were connected by a complex, open helical staircase. The staircase structure was fabricated from CNC cut welded steel to achieve the complex aesthetic, and clad in highly polished veneered panels, each unique in their own geometry.
